To airbrush or not to airbrush?

I have heard both pros and cons. Do you have any information? What are you choosing to do?

The feedback I got when I asked this was most people liked it better - tended to last longer.  Some people reported having wicked breakouts afterwards.  And one person reported that it showed their facial hairs (you know, the really fine ones we all have) moreso. I'm going to try airbrush for the trial and see how it goes.

I'm using airbrush and my sister who gets her makeup done a lot swears by it! It lasts longer and actually is suppose to be more sanitary than using a liquid foundation but I guess it just depends how your skin reacts. I am having my trial done next Saturday and will post picture plus keep you updated on my skin after.... cause luckily I'm doing it far enough out that if I do breakout my skin has time to recover before the end of May! I'm using Katherine Bell, she is super sweet and had the best prices! Good luck!

I rec doing a trial. It works differently on different skin. It seems like people who tend to be oily really love it (and others as well, but those in particular on whom regular makeup comes off).

I was the one who found that it highlighted my baby hairs. lol. But I'm really not sure if it was the fact that it was airbrush, or if the person who was doing it wasn't the best or if the brand of makeup wasn't the best for me. I didn't feel like doing another airbrush trial to find out, and I've had regular makeup done so many times with good, long-lasting results that I just went with that.

I will say though that when a tear rolled down my cheek, it left a big tear mark in my makeup. We went through all of our portraits and then when I went back up to the room and one of my BMs noticed it and fixed it. It's not a big deal because it can be Photoshopped out of the photos, of course, but it does kinda suck that if she hadn't noticed I would have continued to walk around that way. (I guess I was in a daze because I just never rechecked my makeup or hair--weird.) I do wonder if that would have happened with airbrush. I'm not sure because if you used regular blush, etc., wouldn't it mark that? Not sure.

Haha! Or just drip some salt water solution down your face. For summer weddings, follow with running outside for sweat production. LOL!

I am doing it, I have also heard about the wicked breakouts, but I think it's worth it to have great pics, for me anyways :) and just an FYI if you want to try it for free, theres a free open house and wedding show next month at my venue, one of the vendors is Blush and they will be there doing free airbrushing and eye makeup, awesome way to try it out without paying for a real trial Laughing

I have not heard about the breakouts, now I am second guessing! But my photo quality is extremely important to me and I do not want to look shiny or for my makeup to wear off, so I am going to do airbrushing, I am still looking for a MUA, so I will probably get the freebie from blush!
