Wedding Woes

How many pairs of pjs do you own?

I got another pair from my aunt this Christmas. I'm running out of drawer room, yo. I plan on cleaning out some space in my drawers today(H, don't you say DIRTY.) I already worked on my closet and now I'm finding that I have about 6 pair of pjs. Two have never been worn and still have the tags on.

I need to let people know I'm good.

  • D_RTY.

two pairs of summer jammie jams and 4-6 winter ones.  i also have two pairs of pants only because the shirts became too small (no, i don't know why the shirts shrank and the pants did not).  i wear those with sweaters or hoodies.

none of them leave the house, unless it's to get the sunday paper for coupon clipping.

    i am old.

  • I wear yoga pants and a tank to bed 99% of the time.  I own at least 5 or 6 pairs of yoga pants, a couple pairs of shorts, a couple pairs of gaucho pants, a couple chemises, and one set of plaid, button-down PJ's.
  • 0.

my MIL sent a pair for my birthday like 2 years ago, but i returned them.

In the actual rotation are 2 official pajama sets, 3 yoga pant/t-shirt combos, and 2 sweatpant/t-shirt combos. I have a couple of others that I don't really wear unless the laundry situation is dire.

I usually wear them for 2 nights before switching. And sometimes I'll dig out the yoga pants for lounging (or, you know, actual yoga).

  • Actual pj sets?  None.  The pants and sleeves are never long enough.

    heck, yes!

i have a few pairs or "athletic"/sweatpants/PJ pants and t-shirts that i'll wear when we are staying with someone/have visitors/lounging around. i'm just not a fan of PJs in general, and i tend to get too hot at night.
  • So, I'm to assume once you get married the cute sleepwear goes out the window?

<div>I slept in the nude until I had kids sneaking into my bed at night.</div><div>
</div><div>And Taw - I know you're taller than I am, but I have had great luck with Target's Nick & Norah summer PJs. The cotton knit that's stretchy. The pants are hella long, and the shirts are short-sleeve and long enough not to leave a gap at the waist with the pants.</div><div>
    </div><div>This is the long-sleeved version (which I have not tried): <a href="http://www.target.com/p/nick-nora-women-s-fluid-knit-pajama-set-animal-magnetism/-/A-14372835#prodSlot=large_2_9" rel="nofollow">http://www.target.com/p/nick-nora-women-s-fluid-knit-pajama-set-animal-magnetism/-/A-14372835#prodSlot=large_2_9</a></div><div>
</div><div>I also haven't tried the flannel sets - I need my PJs to stretch. :)</div><div>
</div><div>And, if you're wanting to splurge at some point, LTS does PJs and sometimes has them on sale/clearance.</div>

    <div>Define "cute." :)</div><div>
</div><div>I guess I slacked pretty badly for a while, because H actually bought me some pajama sets a couple of years ago. So I have been a little better about it. And one pair of my yoga pants actually look pretty hot.</div>

  • 0 actual sets but upwards of 10 yoga/flannel pants and maybe 5 tanks that are relegated as sleep wear. With the sets if the pants fit well the shirts are super tight across my chest, so I just buy the pants. That and if I am home I am in the sleep pants. I almost never actually put on real clothes unless I am leaving the house and then I change back once I get home again.

  • Thanks, DG.  I'll have to check them out.

I have to admit, I am a hot sleeper so I wear very little, but I do like to have comfy loungewear before bed.
  • No thong or garters.:)

    Maybe something like this:

  • I have 3 sets of matching pants/short sleeve shirts and quite a few nightgowns.  IDK that they're "cute" so much as functional.
  • 2 summer sets that were year-round until it got cold recently. Then I went and bought two winter sets. Pants and shirts that coordinate, and then one actual matchy-matchy set that I bought for the NYE pajama party I went to.

Most of the time I just sleep in the shirts. H makes the bed all hot, and not in a good way, before I get there.

  • NOLA - I  don't think "real" people buy those. it's just for show.
  • No PJ's for me.  I cannot stand being constricted - sometimes sheets even get on my nerves.  If I could, I'd be a nudist.
  • Barbie, I think that you are probably right. I do have a pair of silky pjs that I sometimes wear just for me. They're so soft.

  • I love pjs! i have at least 4 sets of summer.   sMIL used to buy a new winter set every year, but since she switched to giving handbags they were getting sad.  I bought myself 2 new pairs and my mom bought me two big flannel nightshirts.  I'm happy again.
