Wedding Woes

This makes me stabby

I was telling some CWs about my free lunch the other day.

(My life is very small, so this is big news).

The Ogre (who can turn ANY situation into something negative) started complaining about how she didn't get a full free meal, but only a sandwhich.

Then she said, "I guess it is a good think you got the entire meal because you look like you need to eat."

WTF!!??!!

I am not underweight by any stretch of the imagination. I eat, PLENTY. It is really rude to say things like that. But, that is her and such is life.

You should have said "and it's a good thing you didn't get the whole meal, because you DONT."

    How rude.

I guess I see how it's rude. Really, I do.

But I have to confess I'd be floating on cloud 9 if someone even suggested that I was in need of a sammich.

DG - She makes comments CONSTANTLY. It isn't pleasant. It still boils down to someone telling you your body isn't "right."

"Wow. I didn't realize my body was public property for you to comment on. Is yours the same?" And smile while you say it.

Ditto Baconsmom! Some people just need it said that they're being rude. Also the people that pat your stomach when you're pregnant. Really? We don't march up to breastfeeding women and feel their boobs!

HAH! The mental image of some chick walking up to some other chick and squishing her boob all, "Oh wow, you really are lactating" is fantastic.

The bonus of being fat was that NO ONE rubbed my belly except people I knew well enough not to mind. Not a single stranger ever came up to me.

I imagine ninja skills I didn't know I had coming out if someone tried to touch my stomach, pregnant or no.

Yoshi - H got his hand slapped a lot when he used to try to rub my stomach.
