Help me please

I have just now set a target wedding date of this December 29, after being engaged for a while... Anyway, we already may need to rethink the venue. I am in Houston, and must find a Catholic church or chapel located within an hour's drive of Baton Rouge, Louisiana (difficult for fiancé's Mom to travel) Anybody have ideas for me? I am planning on a simple religious affair and simple family party, and also a reception in Houston. Yikes I guess this is why people end up eloping.

    La is a very Catholic state, so finding a Catholic church outside of BR won't be hard. Can you get married at a church you don't have any ties too? I wouldn't know.

    BR to Houston is only about a 300 mi drive (5-6hr). 

    I'm not understanding why 1 hour radius of BR is acceptable, but planning something in Houston isn't. 

    if travelling is too hard, i think a 1 hour drive for the wedding would be tough. 

    why not get married at your MIL's church?

    My future mom in law isn't well enough to travel much farther than an hour from her home in BR, and my point was that I am far away trying to plan. She is a Baptist...
