I'm pregnant. For now. We think.
I had my period (or what I thought was my period) from June 20 to the 24th. Two days later, on the 26th, I started bleeding again. I didn't think too much of it at first, but when the second bleeding didn't stop by Thursday, July 1, I decided something was up.
The only reason I tested was to rule out pregnancy. The bleeding was very unusual - my body is never out of whack like this. However, I did have this exact same color and amount of bleeding when I was pregnant with DD. If it wasn't pregnancy, I wasn't sure what was going on.
I got a BFP on Thursday afternoon. Remembering what happened in February, I didn't freak out and decided to test again in the morning. I tested again Friday morning and got another BFP. I called the doctor and they sent me to the lab for a blood test. I told DH when he got off work. I called for my test results that evening and they said my number was 9 (my nurse told me earlier in the day that anything over 6 is a positive result).
Since my doctor's office was closed for the day on Friday, I called them back yesterday morning. They sent me back in for another blood test. This time, my number was 20. According to my nurse, the number hadn't gone up enough in three days for a definitive positive pregnancy test. I have to go back in next monday for another test.
The nurse said there are two things that could be happening here: 1) The numbers aren't rising fast enough and this pregnancy won't be viable, or 2) the numbers are low because I happened to test very early.
So we should know what's going on for sure on Monday. It was a weird weekend.
