What brands do you guys use? I probably have some that I can send, too! I'm going to be starting cloth diapers probably this week, since Julian's big enough to fit them now! And BFing is working out waaaaaay better this go round, we have yet to need formula!

Luckily, it just happened easier this time. WIth her, I had to supplement from day 1. We fought latching issues, then supply issues. I had never pumped more than 2 ounces at one session. I dried up after 3 months.

This time? Milk was in and flowing by my first day home. I was pumping 4 oz at a time before he was a week old. Last night I pumped 8 oz out of one side, and it had only been about 5 hours since I'd fed him on that side. It's crazy to me, because I have a popsicle box filled with my stash!

I'll look through the coupons and let you know if they're any good.

I'm EP-ing and not sure how long I'm going to do that.  My supply is so-so.

DefConn has such a strong latch that I would cry.   To this day, he collaspes the nipple on his bottle at least 2X per feeding because he's pulling so hard on it.

We've been supplementing since he was about a week old.

Maybe next time it will be easier.
engorgement is unpleasant. so is leaking for weeks on end!
    Posted by Wifezzilla
I've never had engorgement, thankfully.  But leaking is annoying.  When I went to my PP f/u last Monday, it took so long that I ended up having to hold DefConn and feed him, while naked wearing only the gown.  The thing was soaked because I leaked so much.  I hope I don't leak for too long after I stop pumping.
con, are you able to try a different nipple flow? the newborn flow is just now beginning to be just right for him and not too fast. not sure when i need to go up a size.

He collapses the nipple on the Medela bottles I have, but not on the Dr. Browns.  I ordered new bottles from Target with an E-gift card. I think they come with level 1 and level 2 nipples.
