RSVP I feel so dumb!

Alright ladies, we have had so many rsvp vents on here lately, and I have been in the same boat as everyone. Our rsvp date was the 13th, and we are missing SO MANY! Well I am leaving Sunday to go out of town for work for 2 weeks, so I started contacting people today asking for their response. The first two email me back and say so sorry, but my card says the 30th. So I pull an invite out. The designer wrote the thirtieth not the thirteenth like we had discussed, the spelling is so similar I didn't notice, neither did my FI or mom. I feel SO DUMB, I then had to email everyone again and apologize. I can't even read my own invites! Well at least I have 2 weeks left, so hopefully I get rsvp to continue to come in.

Oh wow. Will you still be okay with the RSVP date being on the 30th?? Do you need to turn in a head count or something?

This is totally something I'd do too!  Don't feel too embarrassed!

Like mekiakoo asked, are you going to be good with the new RSVP date or do you need a head count?  If you need a head count most people will understand a printing error and with you ASAP I'm sure!

I really needed it a month out so I could finalize my tables and chairs order. I now am overestimating what I need just to be safe since I will be getting responses later. The people I contacted have all now laughed about it and told me I must just be excited, they all said well we are coming, but we will mail the card in too. So, at least it helped me get some responses quickly I guess! We are not doing a seating chart, so that is good otherwise it wouldnt be much time to put that together.

Are you going to get slammed with a huge bill if you overestimate?  I'd still be considering getting a hold of people to explain to them what happened.

Before all that, can you go through your guest list and make an educated guess as to whether the remaining people would come or not?  I've been doing that since the invites went out! haha  It's pretty accurate if you know the people well enough.  That might get you closer to a more reasonable number.

Or I was going to suggest playing with numbers and getting percentages to know how many should come and such but you're pretty much 50-50 so I doubt that would work for you since you probably won't be 50-50 in the end... =\
