Rant:  This week has sucked donkey balls.  And my payrate does not match up to what is being asked of me anymore.  After the honeymoon, I may need to have a talk with my manager or start looking for another job, because I deserve about 30-50% more than I'm getting now!

Rant #2:  One of my aunts emailed me this morning... she and my uncle are no longer able to attend our wedding   They have a really good reason, but it still sucks.  And it screwed up the seating chart I had all planned!!!

Rave:  Now one of our friends can bring his girlfriend, who is pretty nice, but it's only a 6-month long kinda relationship.  BUT it fixes the seating chart problems!  And our friend is really happy.

Rave #2:  FI and I made our favors last night.  We brewed some beer!  It will be ready in 2 weeks.  It was a fun (while somewhat confusing process), but we went to a place in Edmonds that was WAY AWESOME!  Now we get to figure out what we want to call it and print out some labels!

Rant #1: Work keeps getting worse.  More stuff gets piled on me every day but there is so much dsyfuntion when it comes to procedures, nothing is really set, and I still don't have a job description that I can at least point to and say "not in my realm".  Stressed to the point of illness.

Rant #2: I have tried for 6 months to get things settled at work as to who does what, and I don't beleive things will change, so will be looking for another job in earnest which bites this close to the wedding.  And it's frustrating because I do like what I do but with no management support and a sometimes hostile work environment due to co-workers, it's time to leave.

Rave #1: It's Friday!!

Rave #2: I get to go sailing on a historic tall ship on Sunday and see friends I've not seen in almost a year! (Is it a rave if I'm happy my ex-bf will be onboard and will get to see how happy I am?  Sailing with my FI, future Step-D and her husband.)

Rant #1:  No one is emailing me back!  Not our officiant, not our piper.  I need to get the officiant's OK on the ceremony and I need to know what songs the piper is playing so that I can get the programs started.  Ugh!

Rant #2:  Partly our fault, but we went with a very budget-friendly DJ service who "assigned" our DJ and his style may not match ours.  He does not play rap or hip hop unless requested.  This is pretty much the only music that will bring my friends out on the dance floor.

Rave #1: My MOH/sister is amazing at making me feel better.  She has assured me that since we will be requesting rap and hip hop and I'm given a chance to give me play lists and do not play lists, we'll be fine.  He also has a lot of really great reviews.

Rave #2:  I now have all of my beading supplies to finish my BMs' necklaces and earrings.  I'm so excited that the creative side of me decided to finally make an appearance when needed.

Rant- I'm still at work... and it has not been a great rotation at work.

Rave- Tomorrow one of my bridesmaids and my MOH (sister) are going for pedicures and facials and then out to dinner!  I'm so needing this right now.  And only 15 more days till the wedding!!!

Rant #1: I have ants at my apartment... still!  I know the apartment people have been doing all they can do get rid of them, but they were in my dog's food earlier this week and that just skeeved me out.  They're going to  have to bring a pro with nasty stuff to spray next week which means we have to move out for a day or two.  I hate ants.

Rant #2: While dealing with ants I'm trying to finish experiments and write my thesis so I can move to the UK with FI after our wedding. Right now it's looking like he's going to have to go back without me for like a month and he's taking our dog because bringing a dog into the UK isn't something that can be planned at short notice. And it means he's going to miss my defense

Rave #1: I found out I have almost $45 on my Nordstrom gift card from Christmas so my sister and I are going to the Rack tomorrow to pick out clothes for my shower next weekend!!

Rave #2: Experiments are FINALLY working, so I do have a thesis afterall!
