Wedding Woes

::Looks down::

Well, it was a busy weekend around here.

What did y'all do?  Who's even here today, since it's a holiday and all?

Nico is here, but I have partner out for the rest of this week, so I suspect I might be busy today.

ETA:  My weekend was okay until Saturday night, when Good Friend (male) confessed he was PISSED I'm dating someone.  After an hour of his drunken rambling, both of us crying (him at his own sorrow, me at his unkind words) in public (!), I called it a night and went home.  He tried to convince me to go to another bar, but one was enough kthxbai.  Yesterday I just hung out at the house.  He tried to contact me a few times via text, but I never responded.  I'm sad to lose a friend.

  • I'm here. Lucky me. I would have tried to take today off if I had known that DK got the day off - but since both of the ladies who usually cover me wanted to take today, I came in.

Weekend was busy, although could have been busier.

Friday was my day off: got a 90 min massage, went to target, got lunch at my favorite mexican place, went outlet shopping, bought 4 more citrus trees (local nursery was having a sale) - blood orange, meyer lemon, nagami kumquat (tart), meiwa kumquat (sweet), worked out with DK after dinner.

Saturday: went car shopping with DK. He put a deposit on a 2012 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium. It will be here later in the week. Happy to soon be a 2 'Roo family. Didn't want to buy a new car this soon after getting mine, but his is going downhill and he doesn't want to put any more money into it - not even an oil change. Stopped for a late lunch/early dinner, worked out while wolverine took a nap, and then went to "game" night with some of the ladies/husbands from my mom group. (We ended up chatting in one room while the guys all went upstairs and watched the football game).

Sunday: Were planning to go to the zoo, but had too much to catch up on/were too tired, so we just did stuff at home - packed up the christmas stuff, and cleaned. I watched Wolverine in the evening so DK could go play poker with some of his coworkers. I know he had fun - he doesn't get to go out much with the guys, so it was nice for him.
  • Oh, nico.  That sounds awful.  I'm sorry you had such a personal thing happen out in public.  ::hugs::

Our weekend was nice.  Friday night we finished the dishwasher stuff.  Saturday Son had basketball and yesterday we mostly just relaxed at home after some cleaning.  It was a nice change of pace.  It seems like we've been on the go every weekend since DD2 was born.

  • Ugh, Nico.  That really sucks.

YAY for a new car Barbie!  Subaru's are teh ossum.  :)  We may have to replace DH's car soon and we're definitely looking at used Subarus as a possibility.

Our weekend was pretty good.  Friday night, we just hung around the house and watched "The A-Team".

Saturday, I worked for a couple hours and then we watched "Gnomeo and Juliet".  We went out to a late lunch/early dinner for DH's aun'ts b-day at Cracker Barrel.  DefConn had his first taste of mac 'n cheese and fried apples.  He was in love.  We went to the IL's to watch football and hang out afterward.

Yesterday, I worked 4 hours (we're on mandatory OT right now).  We went to my parent's house for dinner.   The kiddo ended up sleeping over and he and my dad are going to Mission Impossible today.

  • Nico, that sucks balls.  :(  Why do people insist on telling you things you don't want to know?  Never smart.

Weekend was good.  Friday I had a makeup workout day...which means i worked out in the morning, and after work.  Which made Saturday morning's workout even harder.

Saturday was regular stuff, errands, then a movie with H, then more shopping, ice cream and FOOTBALL.  The game sucked, but it was nice spending time with H.

Sunday was just lazy bones day.  I commited myself to sitting on the couch nearly all day.  Which I am good at.

I am currently starting Phase 3 of this workout plan which is already hard.  Womp womp.

  • ugh, Nico, that's awful. Is he jealous because he wants to date you himself? or just an ass who thinks that was appropriate?

<div>He wants to date me.  I have been very clear about (1) us being just friends and (2) that things with Man were developing.  I think he expected me to come home from TX brokenhearted and run into his open arms.  Sorry, but not really.  Man stepped up to the plate and I'm happy.  I have no interest changing anything I have going on for him.</div>

  • Ugh.  He probably needed to tell you that (although it sounds like he could have been nicer about it), but I'm sorry he decided to spring it on you in public.

I just a friendly gal looking for options.

  • I'm here.  It isn't a holiday up here so I'm working. Winter has finally kicked in and it's bloody freezing out today.

The Boy and I are home today. We had a good weekend...went to the zoo on Saturday. He had fun up until he fell on the playground and cut his chin open/bit his tongue. Lots of blood, but no stitches. We went with my mom's cousin, who is more my age and her 3 kids. No idea what we'll do today. It rained last night and that shoots my idea of taking him to the park. We have to get out of the house or he'll go stir crazy.
  • Ugh, wz.  At least you're almost finished with her.  What a bad experience.
  • Our weekend was BUSY. Friday I had a contractor come to the new house and tell me all the "little things" I want done before we move in are going to take much longer than expected. Saturday my brothe came down and he and H spent all day scraping, spacklibg and sanding the baby's room while I cleaned the sht out if the kitchen and made multiple Home Depot runs. Yesterday I taught all day and H finished prepping the room for painting. Today I'm spending half the day here packing, then going up to finish cleaning the kitchen and start prepping 2 other rooms to paint. H is working today, but he'll meet me up there after and we'll hopefully get the ceiling of the nursery done before we lose light.
  • Nico, I will volunteer to give him a junkpunch.

The Mr. and I have colds.  We had a day off *together* (never happens, opposite schedules) and we sent Buffy to my parents so we could get a short nap.
So far, we've been sick every weekend of 2012.

So we accomplished nothing, except christmas w/ the ILs.
