wedding dress inquiry

My fiances' cousin is getting married a month before us and I know she has picked out a dress as well. Should I ask her about her dress, I don't want to wear the same dress all because I was afraid of asking because of some unspoken wedding rule......please help

    there is no unspoken rule about not talking about the dress.  You can ask her, but she may choose to keep the details a secret.

    It won't matter if you have the same dress. You are 2 different people and will have different ceremonies, etc. Like pp said, she may not even tell you.

    Just ask her what her dress looks like, people ask me that all the time and I'm always happy to tell them!
