Decoration Help - Advice Needed!

I went to to our chapel the other day to measure how much ribbon I would need for each lantern we're hanging from the pews.  When I was testing it out - I  had a freak out - it wasn't looking like how i had originally pictured everything.  I can't tell if iI'm not liking it because of the whole lack of symmetry (the way the pews are designed - the ribbon won't be of equal length on each side of the lantern). I'm hoping that when all of the lanterns are lined up with their tealight candles and when it's darker (we're having an evening wedding) that it will look better - but i'm just not sure.   I've got a pic of the original pic i saw which caused me to want the lanterns and a pic of what it looked like the other day.....the thing is, i've already bought all of the lanterns....so.....i'm freaking out!!!!  Any suggestions, advice?  Eeeeek!

You are the only one who will notice the ribbon length thing. As long as the lanterns are hanging straight, no one will even notice, and it will look great! No freakout necessary.

That was my inspiration pic, too!

As long as the lanterns are aligned, it will look great! And yes, it will look different in the evening. Will your chapel allow you to dim the lights in the "audience" area? That's what we did.

As long as they're ALL that way, then they're symmetrical to each other and that creates unity. The one side of the ribbon to the other won't matter. :)

I get that symmetrical thing.  I think it looks fine, but if its buggin you, you could just set the lanters on the floor?

Oooh....i never even thought of putting them on the floor.  I seriously think i may have to go back there and try that out (with all of the lanterns).

I think it'll look gorgeous once they're all aligned. But I also like Jennuine's idea about setting them on the floor. I was thinking of doing something like that, but it would be wasted since our ceremony room will be full of light.
Love your inspiration pic! And don't panic! It'll look beautiful!
