Wedding Woes

[QUOTE]i know i'm in the minority, because the gap never seems like a big deal to me. i like to go to the ceremonies, but most people just go to the receptions 'round here. invitations went out already for a july 9th wedding, that the ceremony can be changed without issue?

Yes, I think it's rude to only go the the reception.

I attended a wedding that had a 3 hour gap, so I went home and took a nap. I took off my dress, and ate Taco Bell.

    I hate gaps.

Yes, that part was good, but I had to make myself get up and go to the reception. One of my friends went to the mall.

The only wedding I've been to with a gap was OOT.  DH was late getting there, so I went to the ceremony w/o him.  When he got to the hotel we were staying at, we went out for lunch and then took a nap at the hotel.  And then we met my parents for a drink at the lobby bar.

I kind of enjoyed the gap.

I'm against the gap. Especially when people put bathing suits in stollers and walk out.

i also like it because sometimes you can have a small get together with other people before it gets too loud or you are spaced too far apart at the table and have to yell over the centerpiece.

i really don't understand the stress over the gap.  most of the times, it's nice.  for the people who hate the gap because they don't know what to do with themselves, that's just sad.
