NWR: Personal Injury Lawyers

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good personal injury lawyer?  My fi was just in an accident.  He was rear ended by a guy who admitted to being on a cocktail for psychological problems.  He was driving a company vehicle and the business is refusing to cover the accident and the driver didn't have any proof of insurance on him.  I just want options because I feel like this is gonna get ugly.

I would def recommend checking with your insurance first. They will fight like crazy for you, then if you don't get what you want hire someone. I have experience with this. I was rear-ended, thought I didn't have PIP (personal injury protection) so I hired a lawyer - well it took for ever to get anything worked out, all my bills ended up in collections therefore ruining my credit then the lawyer took over half of my settlement. When I talked to my insurance after hiring a lawyer, they couldn't talk to me because I was already represented. Call your insurance right away.

I work for a great PI attorney.  He's very no pressure - and would be very informative as to next steps, even if you choose not to go to him.  Feel free to PM me if you want more info!

Thanks.  FI is doing well, just really sore.  He did talk to his insurance and the company's.  The company wants to write out a check already even though the car hasn't been inspected by a repair shop yet.  Accidents suck!

I agree accidents do suck! Don't let them 'settle' until your car is fixed & FI is feeling better. Once you 'settle' (they pay you) you can not seek any thing else from them. Just FYI :) Hope you have a better experience then I did.

I used Daniel Whitmore for a fall I had back in 2008 that ended up not being covered by L&I.  He was awesome and I will go back to him if I ever have to.
