Once every 3 months or so, I unscrew the hell out of my microwave and clean it.  It's an overhead/venting microwave, so it gets all sorts of cooktop junk/grease + dust on the inside.  Gross gross gross.  I feel so much better when I know even the inside working parts are clean.

    Meh.  That's not a concern really.  We'll be replacing it soon enough with all new, matching appliances.

    I've never cleaned inside parts of a microwave. I just assume everything around it is clean. I keep the inside clean, so the inny-insides must also be clean. I live in a certain amount of denial.
