Timing for thank yous?

We got married July 25, and our second reception in the midwest (with another 70 people!) is September 25th. Is it okay to wait until after BOTH to send out our thank yous?  Thoughts?

i'd probably recc doing the july 25 ones first....so nobody will think of you as being "unappreciative" for the first set of gifts that you had to have a second party.....? i guess that's how i see it...is you should close out the first party first.... then you also don't have to do as many the second time around...

I'd say get as many out of the way before the second wave of gifts come. sitting down to write TY's always takes longer than expected and my patience can run thin really quickly.

I'd just try and do as many as possible, and then do the rest after the second. I still haven't finished ours, we're July 17th. I'm almost done, but it really is tedious! Our first wave of TY's were the cash gifts. I felt those needed a TY card right away. My opinion, hope that helps!

Koosh - you are lucky!! Our June 27 wedding and while I got the first batch out right away, I keep dawdling on the last 10 or so and got a nice b*tch at from my aunt via my mom. (I left the more difficult ones to the end to do) I guess some people won't accept 6 weeks (have to give us HM time, geez!) anymore!

I rather agree with Jennlin so that some people might take it that way. Plus, they do take longer and more patience than we often think they will, so get as many out of the way as you can before you have a whole 'nother set to do.

I would definitely get them started sooner rather than later (just to get them done and overwith).

I would get the first ones done first esp the ones that came in the mail so people know you recieved them
