DefConn now entertains himself in his crib with his monkey and frog blanket lovey things in the morning.  I love walking in to him sitting up in his crib with one in each hand babbling at them.  He always looks up and grins at me.  And he lets mommy sleep in by playing quietly.  It's an all-around WIN.

Because we didnt' get raises this year they gave us the week between christmas and new year's as paid time off.

I got a call from a manager frantic that a bunch of stuff was missing and not done according to a report. Turns out they ran the report wrong and I had done all the work that was required. Made me happy to have one less thing to stress out about.

After I get home on Thursday night, I will not have another business trip until January 11th.That's a lot of time at home to work in my pajamas.

I have almost all my Christmas shopping done. I just  need to buy my dad's gift which is easy- a gift card.

Duggar didn't kill the board.  TK killed the board.  I have no idea what is going on, if what i post will work, who posted what, when...annoying.

we got a free lunch at work today

i got a $50 bonus award from one of my bosses for my work this year on a few smaller projects.

after today, i only have to work 6 more days in 2011.

i'm finished christmas shopping with the exception of my sister and a few stocking stuffers for DK.

My goods:

1.  I was very productive today at work.

2.  My kid was slightly less bratty than usual this morning.  She still required a timeout, but at least after that she got her act together.

3.  Firm lunch on Friday means no work after 11am.

4.  I have a waxing appt. after lunch Friday.

5.  Saturday, haircut and pub crawl after.

6.  Sunday - an extra kid-free day.

7.  The Guy makes me smile every day, even from 1000 miles away.

After this weekend, I have two 3 days weekends in a row.  I can't wait.

The worst part of my day is over (I think) and then I'm taking off for the rest of the week.  SHOPPING!  NOT WORKING!  MORE NOT WORKING!  Actually, I'll be getting ready for H's family to arrive on Friday, but it will be a good kind of working - laundry and rearranging furniture, you know, fun stuff.

DH is going OOT tomorrow for an overnight work trip, so I get to sleep in the middle of the bed.  And there will be no snoring to wake me up or keep me up.

ETA:  And Keith Sweat "Nobody" just came on Pandora.  Love me some slow jams.

I only have 2.5 more days of work until I'm off (from full time job, at least) until January 3rd! Today I leave at 2:00 for a dr. appt, tomorrow is our Christmas lunch, so we get to leave at 12:00...so it's really only one full day of work left until vacation! Can't wait to sleep in for two solid weeks. And I actually enjoy my retail job, so I don't mind working there when I'm not working full time.

1. OUr Christmas cards turned out pretty cute.
2. Our gift from my parents came today- ZOO MEMBESHIP baby.  I need to see if it is active now for zoo lights.  We may have to get a hotel room for a night midweek.
3. That's about all I have.
