Jam Jars?

I am looking for jam jars- I really want to make homemade blackberry jam for our wedding favors but the cost of jars is so high! Can you guys recommend anywhere I might be able to get 1/2 pint jars that would be cheaper? Thanks!

I was going to saw Goodwill too. I have a friend that was going to use them at her wedding. There were over 100 of them at the one in Maple Valley. Good luck!

I do canning every year (pickles and a half dozen different kinds of jam), we get our jars at Fred Meyers usually. I worry about getting them used because of sanatizing them and you would still have to buy lids and rings. Fred Meyers has them on sale sometimes and often has coupons in their ads for spend a certain amount and get a certain amount off your purchase, so you could keep an eye out for that as well.

Most grocery stores sell them by the box. And I've seen them at Michael's before. I agree that it's probably good to get them new for this purpose. Lids can be a pain to find, too, for the used ones.
