Wedding Woes

product review

bissell spotbot pet handsfree

IT IS AWESOME.

i love just setting it down and just letting it go to TOWN on spots.  it squirts (HEE) the solution, rubs it in (HEE HEE) and sucks it out (HEE HEE HEE).  i did excellent work on a mystery spot, and also cleared up a bunch of others.

it does not use a lot of solution, which i appreciate.  it also has a super long extension cord, and storage for all the parts.  i really like the hose feature (HEE HEE HEE HEE); good for upholstery and dealing with large or small problem areas.

the only downside -- storage.  i have to store it on a piece of furniture or the rag rug because otherwise it leaves a divot in the carpeting.

Warning: Everything looks clean and beautiful at first, but over time rings form around the areas that you clean with the spot bot. I have been told that soaking the stain with oxyclean and water, then going over with the spot bot with water only (no solution), works better. But the one time I tried that I must have used too much oxyclean because that spot of carpet is WAY CLEANER than the rest of our carpet now, and it looks like a big bleach stain.

Hmm. This is one of those posts that makes me glad we don't have carpet.

Then again, when I have to clean the hardwoods, I will fantasize about being able to just vacuum and be done with it.

ideally, by the time the spots form, we will have moved out.
