Wedding Woes

Oh hell, Bump

In response to "What are you wearing to your LO's birthday party?"

Our theme is barn yard, and we asked everyone to dress up like a cowboy or cowgirl, so its jeans, tank top and boots for me!!

Once a beebee, always a beebee.  And, not to try and make sense out of the ridiculous, but if your theme is barnyard, wouldn't you ask people to dress as farmers, not cowboys?  (Assuming you were inclined to ask guests to dress up for a freaking birthday party.)

That is so dumb. It's as dumb as those pictures I posted of that girl's semi-formal first birthday party.

They must be from my city.  We're surrounded by orchards and fields but some people don't know that apples grow on trees, or think trees have to be planted every year.

I still don't understand the big first birthday with a gazillion people. I've been to a few for very close friends of our's but I still don't get it.

Me either.  But I must be doing it wrong to begin with, considering that I'm not having any kind of dress code, either.

I grew up around a lot of farmers.  If somone told me to dress as a farmer for a birthday party I would show up in manure smeared coveralls, manure caked boots and a seed cap.

i like to think what mama hmo would say if i told her this.  probably less talking and more shutting the door and smacking her purse to my face.  maybe a little yelling about having some dignity.
