i wonder why they hang out there if no one seems to know anything.

Re: what i love about the toddler boards

  • Hmmm, I don't know why they hang out.  I wonder if someone else will have an idea?

  • LOL.

I think I'd be tempted to answer their questions/concerns with 'Lock them in a closet...It worked for me!"
  • what are the questions? i kind-of want to go over and be the hero.

Oh god.  I just went over to one of the toddler boards.   Are these women really that stupid?  Or are they just that needy and codependent?  wtf?
Their all "OMGZ - IS IT OK TO USE A HUMIDIFIER ALL THE TIME?  OR WILL MY KID DIE FROM IT?" and "WE'RE TRANSITIONING TO A REAL BATHTUB!!!  IS THERE SOMETHING SPECIAL I NEED TO DO????!???!111!"
  • I truly detest those "transitioning" posts. Not everything has to be a long, drawn out transition.

DD's transitions include plopping her into the new situation, letting her be upset a little and settling in. We did not do one toe at a time to get her from the bumbo into her high chair.
  • i started answering questions. waiting for isht to get real. :-)
  • I also have my kid eat everything and taste everything (even if she can't fully chew it - she tries the sauce) so she's not a chicken nuggets only kid. She loves indian food.
  • That kid's name is Hudson.

We've done the same thing and she's still a chicken nuggets only (almost) kid.   So frustrating!

Time to hang her by her pinky toes from a closet rod until she eats interesting food :-)

She might try more stuff when she's older. Even picky people can be adventurous, as long as no one's forcing us.

I know.  That's why I try not to sweat it too hard.  We celebrate the small things like she's finally eating fruit on a consistent basis.
  • We have a two bite rule.  He doesn't have to like it, but he has to try it.  We also bribe.  Kid LOVES chili, but not kindey beans so I add extra black beans to his and call it even.
