Speaking of political peeps--the Mr. had an interesting day earlier this week...

the 'open carry' people had a rally @ the state capital.
(For those who don't know, you need a permit to concealed carry.  In many states [inc. mine], if it's NOT concealled?  you can legally carry a properly secured weapon.  A place can kick you out for having it, but you're allowed to carry, to walk down the street w/ the gun strapped to you, whatever.)

So, the leaders of this group called to see if there was a problem w/ them taking the bus to the capital....
uhm....YES.
Seriously, if you're leadership of an open carry group, yu should know that FEDERAL LAW prohibits weapons on mass transit.
So you can open carry at the capital, but you have to get your own azz down there w/o taking the bus.

The drivers all got memos and the Mr. did NOT have to throw anyone off for having a gun...but some peole did.

  • Wow.  What a bunch of morons.

Open carry isn't allowed in many places if any.

  • I think 11 states allow you to open carry. Mine isn't one of them. Boo!

I had to check because one of my employees had a question about a student w/a knife...
it's legal to open carry here but it is still against policy to carry @ my workplace.

I think, technically, the workplace rule would prohibit my can o' pepper spray but I don't really care.

I may, however, have to have security deal w/ students w/ knives clipped to belts--'cuz "m not confronting them by myself.
