Wedding Theme???

So everyone keeps asking me what my theme is?? I know some people do themes like beach or something but I have no idea what theme I would want. My fiance keeps talking about doing a Cirq Du Solei theme but alll I see are $$$$ with that. Our budget is only 10k so I'm not sure what to do. Our venue is already pretty eclectic in that it's an art gallery so I'm not sure what theme to do to tie everything togther. Ideas?

Your wedding doesn't have to have a theme persay, you may want to start by thinking about what kind of feel do you want for your wedding? Eg. Elegant, Sophisticated, Rustic, Vintage, Casual... Maybe start from there and see what fits you and your FI. HTH! Smile

IMO a wedding doesn't need a "theme" unless it's something that you both feel strongly about.  As an example my FI and I both love the water so that is the look we are going for in decorations, centerpieces, colors, etc.

Since youre wedding is in an art gallery I am betting you won't need many decorations but consider what represents the two of you when it comes to centerpieces.  And if nothing comes to mind, then do what you like!

Personally with an art gallery I see a black-tie affair but then again depending on what kind of art it could be plain out fun!

We don't have a theme either, but our decor ideas fall within modern, sleek, and eco-friendly. I also think that a theme is totally not necessary.
