RSVP's

So question... Has anyone ever heard of a guest writing "congratulations" on the reply card, marking the regrets box and then adding a check and mailing it back to you?

I was shocked to see that someone would use my reply card as a wedding card! I have never heard of anything like this!

Also, this was from a family member from New Jersey, both the husband and wife are police officers... but still could they be that busy?!?

That is very strange, I have never heard of that. Kinda tacky IMO.

Haha, I am from NJ, people do that sometimes. Most of our declines who sent a gift stuck the RSVP inside their own card and mailed it (then again I used postcards), but I've definitely heard of it. I've even heard it mentioned as a reason not to use postcards ("because how will the declines send you a gift?!?!")

It so interesting to hear the different traditions of the different parts of the country.  I had never heard of anyone doing that though.

I feel a lot better now! Thank you! So odd how different things are from coast to coast.
