Wedding Woes

I'm worried for friend's daughter (nothing new)

This is friend with daughter issues.  She got custody back in Dec. and claims everything is hunkky dory.  In the meantime kid has had 2 accidents and 2 speeding tickets.  She also quit a job because coworkers made her cry.

Anyway daughter is graduating this weekend, a year early.  Kid has been pressuring mom to let her get a keg.  They were storing some stuff in our beer frig and kid was talking about us donating to her party.  It was next to our liquor cabinet and she was askng if we could bring that too.  HELL NAW I told her I was not giving a minor liquor.

Kid was supposed to take a math placement test for college.  She doesn't understand any of it because she hasn't taken math in 2 years.  That means she had one year of math.

Kid is going to college in NC.  I have major doubts that she is ready mentally and emotionally.  I understand she wants to get out of this small town with it's rumor mills, but NC is further than I'd let her go.  I hope and pray she's one of those that really finds her groove in college, but I just don't know if it will happen.

I'd never have the balls to ask an adult for alcohol.  I bet mom gets it for her.

Does she know anyone where she is going?  I also hope she figures her life out while she's gone.

What the what at a HIGH SCHOOLER pressuring her mom for a graduation party keg.

Yeah, I don't see the grad party or the college situation ending well.  :-/

Mom has vehemtly said no, but there were cases of beer in her car.  er mom said kid could drink at the party, but her friends can't.  Yeah right.  I was allowed to drink in my home, but not with friends there.

She doesn't know anyone where she is going.  I kind of wish she was going to my brother's school just so someone would be near.

Ignoring the fact that she's a minor, I can't beleive the nerve of someone asking you to bring your liquor cabinet!    Maybe I'm a cheap bastard but no.   Liquor ain't cheap!
