Wedding shoes

So, I am a very comfort oriented person.  I don''t normally wear fancy shoes because I have a heard time finding comfortable shoes.  My dress is long enough that you can't see the shoes under neath, think there are any problems with wearing sketchers (like the prettier types) underneath it?

ever thought about low heels or flats? you can always change your shoes before the reception starts. I am going to change into converse before I go in the reception to be comfy

If you're okay with it, then it's okay. I get what you're saying, comfort was the first thing I wanted in my shoes... I don't wear heals over 3 inches, can't do it. My shoes (as you can see below) are closer to to a kitten-type heel.

However, if you want *dressier* shoes rather than tennis shoes, maybe you could check out confort brands (ie. Naturalizer, etc) or a lower heel. But otherwise, tennies are okay in my book :o)

Ooh.... you could also go Converse and design your own Chuck Taylors. Oh! and also on Zazzle you can design your own Keds :o)

    Good luck!

You oculd also switch shoes for the reception, or halfway through it ... though I think the skechers look pretty awesome.

I'm with everyone else, you should wear whatever you want!! Because you're right, people arent really going to see much of your shoes anyway.  I also think that people are getting more used to seeing non traditional shoes (ie flip flops, red, blue, etc).

I, myself, am a die-hard heel girl.  But for whatever reason they are comfortable for me.  I wear 3-4" heels most days as it is, and used to even bartend in them! lol

Yup, wear whatever you want.  But I'd make sure I couldn't find any comfy flats first.  I particularly like the Ecco brand flats - they're really comfy (I wear mine in black at least 3x/wk), and they have cute ones, like these (which they sell at Nordstrom.com) -

I think if that is your personality you should go for it!  It's another way to make your wedding more personal.  You don't want to wear something that makes you uncomfortable (even if they don't hurt your feet).  Those shoes are awesome!

Those shoes are pretty darn fun! Ditto the wear whatever you want! IT's YOUR wedding! And fun, non-traditional shoes are very in-style. It's a way of putting a little more of your personality into your clothes.

And by the way, comfortable shoes are a MUST. I thought the highest heel I can wear is about 3". My shoes were 2-7/8". My feet hurt a little right after the ceremony, but I was so high on the joy and excitement, I forgot pretty quickly. Well, when I got home that afternoon, I paid for it. Seriously, one of my middle toes on one foot was numb and took several days to fully revive. I hobbled for about a day after. (I have awful feet thanks to childhood arthritis which screwed up the joints.)

Moral: most important A) comfort and THEN B) look. :D

Comfort is a first, the shoes you linked to were really cute and if they are comforable go for it.. My wedding colors are purple, but I am wearing Pink Justin Roper Boots, they are kinda a "fat baby" style... They are really comfortable, and ties me to my roots, so I don't really care what others have to say about it.  Plus can't wait for the cute pictures of my boots =)
