Just curious - songs

My FI and I were going over songs for our wedding the other night and I got to wondering what types of songs others are using in their wedding.

We are having a mix of genres everything from country to classic to old and newer pop songs.

We are having a pianist for the ceremony plus some friends singing solos and duets, and the reception will be recorded tunes.

So what are you playing?

We're doing all recorded songs. As mush country as my fiance will let me sneak in there, which looks like not more than a song or two, because ironically even though he hates country, our song first dance song/our song is a country song. And everything else will be classic rock/80's dance songs probably. His dad's friend is a radio personality in South Dakota so he's going to DJ for free, so we're pretty much leaving it up to him.Smile

We're doing recorded songs. Mostly country (both families are very western) but with some hip hop, pop, and 80's music tossed in the mix.

Recorded songs too. Mix of all kinds. I'm walking down to heavenly day by patti griffin and our first dance song is you send me by Sam Cooke. Still trying to decide on recessional song. Suggestions welcome:)

We are having al kinds of music. We have a quarted playing for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We have a DJ tha will play all kidns of music, including salsa, merengue and all kinds of latin music because I'm hispanic. Also, my family is bringing in a mariachi band as a present during the reception.

I know it sounds crazy but it should be lots of fun!

For the ceremony we are having FI''s aunt and cousin play violin and guitar.  WP will walk down to a song from the Juno soundtrack, I'll walk down to Wagner's Bridal March, and I'm not sure what the recessional will be yet.

For the reception, it'll mainly be 90's pop, 80's, Oldies (50's to 70's), a few Country songs, and some current Pop.
