TGIF!

What's up for the weekend?

DH is voting tonight.  Tomorrow is Sam's club and a trip to Walmart so he can get crap to stay in a trashy hotel for a week.  Sunday afternoon he leaves and the week of "suck it up and think of the $$" starts.

Re: TGIF!

  • Ds has several extra curricular activiities today and tomorrow.  We are getting ready for his sisters to arrive on Tuesday from Utah.  They are DH's DD's and he doesn't know they are coming.  DS's room is being decontaminated according to CDC guidelines so they have a place to stay.  DH thinks my sister from Ohio is coming so I am milking this for all it is worth as far as getting a couple of projects done that he has been procrastinating about.
  • Tonight: Going to the IL's for dinner.  The kiddo is staying the weekend with them.

Tomorrow: The IL's want DefConn to spend the night.  DH and I will probably go out to dinner.   I'm trying to convince him that we need to get a jump on Christmas shopping for the kids.

Sunday: Pick up the kids and then chillaxing and watching football.

After our last 3 weekends being insane, I'm so looking forward to having a low-key weekend.
  • And I totally forgot that DH and I are off Monday together.  Our anniversary is Sunday.

    w00t!  3 day weekend.  ;)
  • Kmm, why in the world is your DS's room being "deconaminated" according to CDC guidelines?  Or do I want to know?  ;)

We are going to be low-key as well.  Last weekend wasn't enough to recharge the batteries and I'm still tired from Wednesday night.  Just cleaning/cooking/laundry.  We also have a big convention next weekend, so I'm looking forward to relaxing.
  • I was wondering if the CDC was tongue in cheek or if there was a legit issue there too.

I'm getting anxiety over everything happening next week.  I have a doc appt, we go visit DH for 2 days, I need to do some baking, my dad is coming for a night, my MIL is coming for a day.  It would sure be easier if I could drink.

  • I think it was a joke, V.  Boys are gross.  :)

We need to finish the floor trim in the living room.  That's the only think I planned for the whole weekend because I want to make sure it gets done.
  • I am leaving sometime mid morning to go home, pack and get the heck out of dodge and head up to MPLS.  I'll be spending the weekend with my college friends. YAYA!!!

  • Oh.

See, I'm not finished with my coffee, so that flew RIGHT over my head.  :D
  • Have fun, O!  I love little weekend getaways.  I'm plotting a small trip for DH and I but I doubt it will happen until after the new year.

Word.  I will say that the plug in air freshner I put in the kiddo's room has been worth every.single.penny.  It no longer smells like boy-funk in there.   Now it smells like cinnamon.  :)
  • Ha!  An air freshener is actually on my target list for tonight.  It's too cold to have his windows open now, so I'll be getting him a freshener for the winter.  :)
  • I just got a call that they finally have an opening for me to move my grandmother into a small alzheimers facility that I have been on the waiting list of for months!  I've got a lot of shopping to do for her this weekend, but this is going to be so good for her, she doesn't like the huge nurisng home crowds and this place is perfect.
  • Pegasuskat - that's great news!  :)

I have an OOT friend coming to visit this weekend and we plan to do some shopping, drinking, eating, drinking, baking, drinking...  you get the idea.

6 - if you need anything next week, let me know.  You have my number.   If you're losing your mind and just need a break, I can come over or meet you at the play place at the mall, whatever.  THe kids can play and you can go off by yourself.  :)   I get off work at 5pm and the only night I have plans is Tuesday.

  • Woooohooooo Pkat!!!

Thanks AF.  I'm sure I'll be okay it's just an odd week.  My mom's club is the first Wed and my women's club is the second Thurs.  This month that actually falls the same week.  I also have another party that week.  I NEVER have that much crap in one week.  I just foresee some early bedtimes and shows ;)  Then again the two are perfectly happy with a balloon and two giant pixy stix right now.  (they aren't eating the stix)

  • Tonight it's just hanging around the house. Tomorrow, DH has to work all day so me and DS are going to go to the municipal airport near our house and watch the airplanes and probably grab lunch. I also want to get him a haircut and possibly go grocery shopping. Sunday DH wants to help his dad with some stuff. I told him I'm not going so we'll see who DS goes with.

</div><div>This would be awesome for me, but would make no difference to him.  He is anosmic - he has absolutely no sense of smell whatsoever.  He can't smell his dirty sock dirty clothes funk, but we sure can.
