I ordered a new lens online the other day. Because my billing address (back home) doesn't match my shipping address (here), they flagged my purchase. I was told that they don't send items to the shipping address if it doesn't match the billing address, at least within the same state. So it was going to be sent to Iowa.
This sucked because I'd have to wait for MIL to forward it to me, and I want it for when we go to NYC next weekend.
I replied to their email asking if they'd be willing to bend their rules and explained the situation briefly. I just got a reply that they will ship it to me here in DC. They even upgraded the shipping to compensate for the delay. Huzzah for good customer service!
