I heard that NPR story. It was just awful on so many levels.  That poor guy.

    I know.  I can't imagine being accused of such a thing and knowing that you are innocent.  Of course it seems that they should have sought some medical care for a lethargic baby that wasn't eating and covered in spider bites, but when the mother is an MD you would tend to assume that she knows what needs attention and what doesn't.

    Did you hear the segment wth the prior babysitter? I'm wondering if the fact that mom is a doctor is why no one called CPS on her @ss.

    Yes, that was crazy.  The mother heard a baby crying and decided to go drive around looking for it while her own baby was left alone?  CRAZY!  There is no good story that would explain leaving the baby, that was especially bad.  I guess that is why she became a doctor rather than a novelist.
