Wedding Woes

What are the chances I won't get bedbugs?

H and I are planning a road trip in which we will be staying in no less than 7 different hotels.  I'm thinking of just renting a mini-van and sleeping in the back to avoid bugs.  If only H would go for that.  He won't even sleep on my brother's couch.

  • Just make sure to wrap your H in plastic before he gets near your luggage.  <<dirty

  • keep everything in sealed plastic bags, and search the rooms when you get there.
  • Check all the seams of the beds before you put yourselves or your luggage on them. If you see any signs of the vonces hightail it to the desk and make them aware of it. and get a room elsewhere.

  • I've searched the seams of every room I've stayed in for the past two years.  I won't sit my bag on the floor for any period of time and keep it zipped up when I'm not digging in it.  H is not as careful.  He refuses to keep it zipped up.  <---dirty

    I'm still paranoid.

  • tell your H that if he gets your house infested with bedbugs that he is solely responsible for finding and paying for a new house. That's the only way to get rid of them. Move.

  • My husband is a hotel  manager and has had to deal with this three times.  Something I learned is that when a room becomes infected, the room and each room on either side of wall plus if it is a multiple story hotel, room above infected room must also be professionally treatment.  Call gm and ask if there is an outbreak, how are the rooms treated.  If gm says none of the above listed rooms are not treated,  DO NOT STAY  THERE!!

Also, keep luggage on one of the luggage rack.

    Good luck!
