Wedding Woes

AW: I have big knockers ( * ) ( * )

I went for a bra fitting yesterday.  I walked in wearing a 38C and walked out wearing a 36DD (same brand/model# bra, as it happens).

People have made fun of me my whole life (friendly teasing, that is) because of my tiny boobs.  DH was cracking up when he found out his wife was a DD.

Considering I still have bras from college (probably 34B), I'm thinking I should just purge the whole bra drawer, see how these industrial things hold up for everyday use, and maybe get a couple of pretty ones at the VS semi annual sale this summer.

Is the new bra more comfortable?

Oh Yes. I"m in the D club, and hate to see what would happen if I got  knocked up. I'm sure these puppies will be sitting on my neck.

Indeed it is.  Took a little getting used to - obviously, the 36 is a bit tighter than my stretched-out-wore-through-two-pregnancies 38, but today I feel pretty good in it.

I found out when I went for my bra fitting that I was much bigger than "commercial" bras were measuring on me. The woman who was working with me was telling me about different styles/brands/ everything would mean a different fit and a different size. I've been so much more comfortable since that appointment.

Also, she told me about adjusting the "around size" when I needed to adjust the cup size (like what you were doing with the 38s.)

    I need to do this.

And yeah, you have some big knockers.  DD indeed.

Wow. I think I've finally made it to a full C cup. I've been a nearly B until now.

Thing is, they still don't seem that huge to me.  Really, when I go braless around the house, they're little flat pancake boobs.  Weirdness.

I really don't think anyone would do a double take at my giant breasteses, you know? I mean, heck, you guys saw that pic of me dressed for the conference a few weeks ago.  Maybe they just go with the rest of my size/shape.  Whatev. I'm just glad to have a bra that fits.

Also a bonus? It was only $30.  Not bad for a bra. I was expecting to have to spend $50 or $60 since we were at the fancy bra store.

I went for a bra fitting once (looking for a strapless for my wedding).  It was horrific.  They sent me out with a 62GGG or something.  It was so big that it I could turn to the side and my boobs fell out of the cups and the band wasn't tight enough to stay in place, either.  So I returned it.

My bewbs fluctuate right now between a 34 C and B.  It's been nice having more than an A cup.  Throughout my pregnancy and BFing, they've always stayed nice and perky though.  I'm waiting for them to totally deflate once I wean and become National Geographic style.

Ugh.  I've been part of the DD club since I was 13.  A nice fitting/properly fitted bra is heaven sent!

Zsa, your story cracked me up!

I tried to get fitted when I moved to CO and lost weight. No dice: the lady tried to tell me I was an F cup or something ridiculous. I'd walked in as an H, and I definitely did not have space in that cup.

I remember DD days. If I had a reduction, that's probably what I'd go down to - a DD or an F.

    jealousE

I went in for a fitting and she's all "Well, you're bigger than a B but smaller than a C"

    Betch.

    Now I wear boobie cutlets.

Welcome to my world.  Every time I gain weight, I go up a size.  I was up to a 38DD for a while.  Now I've lost about 35 lbs and I'm in-between a 36DD and a 34E (went down 1-2 back sizes and no cup size, but went down 3 clothing sizes...go figure).  So now I have to either wear a 36DD on the smallest set of hooks and hope they don't stretch out or bulge out of the cups of a 34DD.  Weird to think that I was a 34C just 10 years ago...and I'm scared to see what happens when I get knocked up.
