My hometown in TN and my alma mater in North Georgia both got slammed by the storms yesterday/last night.

    My co-worker's daughter lives in Birmingham -they got slammed pretty badly too. The daughter was lucky in that she only had minor damange, but her neighbor had a tree fall on their house.

    Luckily, no injuries reported on campus.  I think there were 9 fatalities in my hometown.  I texted the woman we sold my mom's house to and she said they and the house were fine, but many people suffered a lot of damage.

    We had storms here, but nothing nearly so bad as all that.  I am extraordinarily grateful and have been saying prayers of thanks all day.  Mother Nature was not flucking around this time.
