Wedding Insurance Story

I wanted to share my experience with Travelers wedding insurance.
I paid about $250 to insure my ~$30,000 wedding with Travelers, almost 2.5 years ago.
I still haven't recieved photo albums and prints from my photographer- whenever I call, then either don't respond for months or they respond and say 'ok we're working on it!' and then I hear nothing. After about 6mo of no response (this was over the summer) I contacted Travelers. They determined that they wouldn't cover the albums and proofs, even though this was easily over $1000 in items that I didn't recieve from a contract. My only recourse now, besides continuing to pester the photography company, is a lawyer.  I have a feeling that would cost a lot more than $1000.
My insurance did not specifically cover nor did it exclude the albums. I just wanted to point out the issue I had and make sure that other brides didn't have the same problem. If you want it covered, it has to be explicit (apparently).
I did recieve digital proofs, thank God.
And jik you were curious, the name of the photo studio was Photo832 in Houston, part of the Photography Shoppe, which has offices around the US.

if you file in small claims court, you won't have legal fees - just court costs.

maybe you should discuss with the BBB if the photographer has not met their contract.
