good news, it's not neurological. Which means it isn't an 'emergency'
But, of course, Dawg, being Dawg, has to be ssedated soundly before they can x-ray her. The vet said that waiting until Monday to x-ray would give us the same results as us paying a few grand to go to the university to get the x-rays...so I'll have no real news until Monday.
In the meantime, I have an anti-inflammatory to give her and a 2nd med to keep her from getting sick from the anti-inflammatory (since everything upsets her tummy).
And I"m to keep her as quiet as possible, and use a 'towel sling' to help her walk. (This should be a challenge. My dog is not known for being quiet. Actually, that's how we knew something was wrong, we were playing frisbee and she stopped, mid chase, and just laid down and refused to move. couldn't get her legs under her after that, could barely hobble. She doesn't act like she's in pain, but she NEVER acts like she's in pain)
Best case (least likely) scenerio, she has, once again, had the luxating patella problem and has popped out both knees...and maybe they'll pop back in on their own.
More likely, she actually tore ligaments and 'blew out' both knees...and it'll require surgery that my vet won't perform that will be $$$$$.
I won't know until Monday.
