Wedding Woes

Random hair question

More and more I wear my hair in a braid or a pony.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to "finish" these other than just the hair tie.  I can do the hair wrap around thing, but what else is there?  Are ribbons too young for the over 35 crowd?

yes, put a ribbon on it, and then tuck baby's breath in the braid.

Wrap a section of hair over it to make it look more "finished".

Just say no to scrunchies.  A visible ponytail holder is much better.  I like the clear ones.  Sometimes they are yard to find in a larger size and they are easy to lose, but they blend into hair more than regular ponytail holder.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those corkscrew things.  I guess they wouldn't work for ponytails very well, but they are a bun's best friend.

I use a lot of clear rubber bands, tuck pieces in with bobby pins.  Scarves that are lowkey and easy to wrap might be an option.

I'm dying to try those corkscrew things, but my hair needs to grow a few more inches. Damn me for cutting it, even though it was falling out by the handful :(

I typically do just plain black hair ties. I should get some of the clear ones as well.

I use dark brown pony tail holders so they blend in.   I've been trying to do a higher pony tail so that it looks a litte more done up and trendy.   But I have no idea if any of it's working for me.   The little black girl at the water park said it was pretty, but I have had no other feedback.

I've tried those corkscrew things, but clearly I use them wrong.  I hate them and they don't hold my hair in.  I've even watched videos.  I like to blame my hair though.
