Where did you get your invitations?

I just started looking into invitations and I was wondering where you all got your invitations from, how much did you spend, and how many did you order? Thanks everyone.

I wound up buying mine from AC Moore and printing them myself, but I had planned on using 123print.com or weddingpaperdivas.com

I'm splurging on really thick paper, traditional engraved, custom invites, but they have some amazing cheaper options...and SO, SO, SO easy and wonderful to work with. I liked that the designer (Brooke) met me in the city and showed me the invitations. She also did my Save the Dates as letterpressed bookmarks—which I LOVE (I attached them below, since I've sent them out already), and they designed us a logo, and are doing all of my day of paper products and out of town bags, rehearsal invites, etc. They have been my favorite vendor to work with so far. Obviously, I can't say enough good things  about them!

What kind of invites are you thinking of?

Engaged on August 13, 2011. Getting married on June 30, 2012 at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA
  • The green kangaroo an I kinda splurged a littlle I think they were 8.05 a peice
  • I used My Gatsby online.  I liked how I could try out wording and color combinations for different styles.  For 150 invites and envelopes plus reception RSVP cards, we're spending under $350.
  • We used Celebration Creations.... you can either order invites from a company or they actually make them in house, which is a lot more cheap and you get to design them yourself !
  • Wedding Paper Divas.  We got a deal on Rue Lala
  • Chick Invitations (Philadelphia vendor, even though I'm from NY): www.chickinvitations.com

We're still going back and forth making edits (which they've been SO nice about, btw) but we're paying $6.25ish per invitation suite. It may end up being a little more expensive if we switch paper.

  • Vistaprint.  I bought three groupons $17 for $70, and used Groupon bucks so I only paid $21 total out of pocket.  I splurged and paid $200 for a family friend to design them, then uploaded them to vistaprint to order.  Because I had three groupons, I had to do three separate orders, so I was able to add in a couple other items to add up to the $70, and paid some shipping on top of it (avg. $10 per order).  For that, I got 100 invitations, RSVPs, thank you's (all matching), 50 additional thank yous, 50 additional note cards, two pads of sticky notes, and envelope seals that I haven't decided if I'll use or not.  I'm happy with the quality of the items we received.
  • I used 123Print and they look fantastic.  I spent $220 for invitations/envelopes/response cards/hotel info cards.  I ordered 150 invitations.
