Wedding Cake Average Price

Hello Everyone,

I am just starting to try wedding cakes and I was wondering what the average cost of a wedding cake per slice is? Anyone have any ideas? thank you!!

I think it is around $5.00 or $6.00 per head.    I am using Bredenbecks in Chestnut Hill and I think I recall her mentioning the price in that area..

A lot of the bakeries I looked at were minimum 4.75 per slice, and for our guest list... that was a $900 cake.  That was a lot more than I wanted to spend on a cake... so I found someone who was just starting her own bakery.  My friend from college used her to make her wedding cake, and it was flipping delicious.  We had a lot of compliments on our cake.

Her shop is Bee's Sweet Shoppe, and she's based out of Abington PA.  Unfortunately, we didn't get to do a cake tasting... but that totally didn't matter because it was the best cake.  I just wish I got more than the bite that was smashed in my face.

I am going to second Bee!  

I didn't use her for my wedding, but I am also freinds with her and have eaten her cakes.  I would have used her if my cake was not included in my wedding package.
