open letter

dear boss:

why do you ask me to do something, and then proceed to do things that negate my action?  for example, when you asked me to find volunteers, why did you go around telling people that you didn't need volunterrs?  i know you don't care that i look like an idiot when i ask people to volunteer for something you don't need, but i just get frustrated when i can't find volunteers.  it doesn't make me "feel better" when you say you don't need them.

also, i can -- and do -- read your email.  remember (okay, i know you don't remember) that you asked me to do so in order to keep on top of what you are doing.  please remember this, because it makes me really hate you when i see you have sent out emails blaming me for doing -- or not doing -- things you told me to do -- or not do.

"regards,"

Re: open letter

  • it's not as bad as my old boss.  his 30yo lover would send him gross, porny, extremely graphic emails.  (he had a college aged daughter.)

  • How annoying! If it makes you feel any better I once had a boss from hell (she got fired two months ago - WOO!) but she used to talk smack about everyone in the office and thought we were best friends, I hated her. She used to come in sometimes in her white, turquois embellished cowgirl hat and matching boots and I was expected to have normal conversations with her all day all while maintaining a straight face.

Then we found out she hadn't paid payroll taxes in over a year and had stacks and stacks of unpaid bills in her office and now we're all getting our hours cut. But hey, more time for wedding planning - and laying by the pool! Holllaa!!!
