To pay $200 for japanese teahouse photo shoot or not?

I was thinking about doing our outdoor pictures at the japanese teahouse in Fairmount park. It would make a great  romantic backdrop and outdoor location for our photo shoot on our wedding day... so i contacted them and they request $200 for a 1 hour photo shoot there! Ugh! I told them, we dont have a bridal party, so it will be just me, my FI and the photographer...but still $200 an hour... And that's during their opening hours, so there might be other visitors during that time of our photo shoot. If we want a private photoshoot after hours, then it would be $400 fee... ugh... we have the budget for it, but i just dont feel comfortable to shell out $200 for a 1 hour photo shoot... and if it's raining that day,  then we can't even get a refund... Cry

Decisions, decisions... would you pay that fee?

That's tough. WIll there be other places for you to take pictures? Do you think you'll regret it if you don't?
  • Yeah they are a bit pricey I remember looking into them for ceremony only and their prices and space limitations made them a NOGO for me...BUT I agree with Teep do you think you'll regret it if you don't, it is a unique place for Philly.

  • $200 isn't bad honestly. I looked at some of the arboretums out of the city and they wanted a few hundred.

Longwood is nice, but it may not be in the area of the wedding. I'm guessing you're getting married in the city. A trip to Longwood on turnpike traffic is going to screw up even the most organized bride's timeline.
