I guess in our house it's not so much an Advent calendar but a count down to Christmas. I have one I'm going to make, but I wanted some little things to put in it. I'd rather not put in candy. Any ideas?
Depends how big the pockets are. We do coins, some candy (I break up M&Ms or smarties packs and only give a couple). I've also done little papers with hints to find something bigger (crayons, one of those squeeze pouches).
FWIW, I bought wikki sticks in a co-op on one of the cloth diaper boards...
In the near future (once I get my shipment) I will have an excess of them and I'd sell 'em for what I paid (I'm planning on tucking them in my 'emergency gift' drawer--the one I keep new containers of play-doh, etc, in)
Re: Advent Calendar
You could use some of these for DS:

Maybe some of them could be a piece of paper with an activity or game written on it?

Wikki stix would be good in those. You could break up a pack for a few days too. I may need to do that .
