ACE Conference Center

Have any brides had their wedding ceremony and/or reception at the ACE Conference Center in Lafayette Hill?  Or been to one?  It's a top contender in my search and I just wanted to see if I could get some more information! Thanks for your help!

I've never been to an event there but I checked it out as a possibility for our wedding.  The room holds less people then what is written in the package.  I believe it says it holds 250 but you can only fit that many if you use a separate room.  Also, the package is for a 4 open bar and they close it during dinner.  When  we asked about paying extra to the keep the bar open for another hour they told us they don't allow it for liability reasons.  So the tight squeeze and the closed bar knocked it off our list but the area for cocktail is very unique and they have a great patio for cocktails if you getting married when the weather is nice.  Also, the view is amazing, one wall is windows and its on the top of a hill.

I'm having my reception there on July 24th.  I can let you know how the day goes after that.  Otherwise they have been great to work with so far.  Very accomodating and reasonable.  I made alot of changes to the package and they were very flexible. The guest rooms are very nice. 

Several of my mother's co-workers just attended a wedding there and they said it was great.  They also said the food was spectacular.

We are also doing our rehersal dinner there the night before - we are doing a BBQ and they offer very reasonable packages for this as well.  After the reception we are hosting an after-party in the sunken lounge area and instead of having to use their catering for snacks, they allow you to have pizza delivered, etc.

Thank you both for your input! The small dancefloor is what's keeping me from booking the place, however, I'm waiting to hear back if they can expand it.  It's great to know that the food is good...very important!  And please let me know how it goes for you.  Good luck!!!

I too am having our reception there in 3 weeks! We went last night to show my future MIL(who is from OOT) and she loved it. I would think depending on how many guests you are having, they can expand the dance floor.  We went for our tasting awhile back and yes the food there is DELICIOUS.

I'm actually going to tag on to this thread and ask for those that did end up booking ACE Conference Center (eg. hugz415 and kcsunshyn8), how good were they about bringing down the price? What were some points that you used to barter with them if at all? Thanks!!!

I am getting married there June 16,2012. They are $$ but wolfgang puck has taken over the food!! They are having a bridal event in sept.
