How do you know who to trust?  And why can't I find a Big Sister Little Sister shirt in one?

It's kinda like ebay, but I have to say, the 'worst' I've ever had from etsy is slow delivery--I've never been outright stiffed.

(not that it doesn't happen but, read feedback, make sure you file w/ paypal before the deadline if you don't get your stuff, it's fine 90%+ of the time)

You could also try hyenacart, which is...uh...hmm, etsy-esque but made of mini shops and popualted by hippies.

Pretty much what GB said. Just look for an overall trend in seller ratings. Sometimes the sellers are slow to ship. I'd also keep a very very close eye on where the seller is based. There's tons of overseas sellers europe, china, etc. If it's overseas and remotely close to Xmas, forget about getting anything on time. Shipping can take weeks to months...if it ever shows up.

LOL. I read this as hymen-cart.  Which is totally someplace hippies would shop.

Yes, just as long as you're ordering from someone in the US, that has good ratings, and pay by Paypal, I think you're safe.

Oh, and maybe the Duckis can make you something?   (ETA: which I only mention because she's the only one on here that has a current Etsy shop that I am aware of.)

Agreed with PPs, I generally will only buy from a seller that HAS feedback (and it is mostly positive) and is based anywhere but China (I've purchased items from Israel, Europe and all of the States with no problem).

I stay away from sellers who don't list where they're from, and sellers who post pictures of clothing on models and say that they can "recreate" the look for you (this is just chinese knock-off stuff, just as bad as all the wedding industry stuff out there).

What the others have said.  Seller Feedback is gold.
