Flaky friends

I got engaged a month ago, but my fiance and I had been talking about it for a while so I already had my bridesmaids all picked and they knew it. Now it's time to start planning and my "good friends" have turned into completely different people. My MOH won't respond to any of my messages and the last one she did send me was snarky at best. I'm currently 4 hours away from her so it's not like I can just schedule a lunch date to talk it over. Another of my bridesmaids has suddenly done a total 180 in her personality and is nasty and hateful towards all of her friends for the past few weeks. I don't really know what to do about the whole situation because they had been such great friends, but now it's hard to even talk to them about everyday things without getting annoyed or upset let alone my wedding. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive...I have no idea

Take a deep breath, and start planning on your own.

You'll hear it many times on these boards - your wedding isn't as exciting or important to anyone else, as it is to you (and your FI).

Plan, do what you want, and if your friends come around, great.  If not, and they choose not to participate, then you need to accept that.  Give them a break from "wedding" stuff, email or call them to talk to them about anything BUT the wedding.

Your friends may have other, far more major, things going on in their lives, and might be feeling pressured to deal with your wedding on top of their real lives as well, and could explain their recent attitudes.

They are your friends, you know them best, but don't start to freak out yet.    Good luck, and happy planning!
