BF on a budget need help with venue

My best friend doesn't have a date yet, but is engaged and just bought a dress today   So that will take at least 8 months.  So maybe Fall 2013.  She doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a wedding and has a small guest list.  100 people.  She also doesn't want to have to worry about doing anything herself the day of the wedding. Does anyone know of any locations around the Drexel Hill area that would cost around 5-6K?  I think she is hoping to spend 10K total on the entire wedding, if not under.

Ballrooms at Boothwyn--my daughter is having her wedding there and they are getting a great deal not to mention the people who run it are great! Which was one of the biggest +'s -- we're very picky about the attitude of the people at the venue when we go in for an appt. Figuring if they don't treat us well then when they want our business, the day of the wedding won't go anywhere but down. They are doing their wedding for under 8 but they are doing it in Feb. not sure what the differential is for the fall. Call and talk to the guys who run Lia's Catering/Catering by Lia's--they have more than one venue. We live in D. Hill, she lives in Clifton so it's about the same area we're in. It's a bit of a distance to Boothwyn but a pretty easy drive. Best of luck, let us know what they decide! I write wedding blogs for a living so you know I'm a picky picky picky woman! LOL

Go to Delaware Valley DJs wesbite and look under their venues. We picked them first then called the venues on their list. Most of them are cheap like Glen Foerd great wedding venue.
