Wedding Woes

Anyone around?

Hellloooo? Good morning.  Missed y'all yesterday on my day off, but I was super productive.  Now I'm back at work...waiting for my long weekend.

What's y'all's Turkey Day plans?  We're going to my parents.  I have to work tomorrow, but I'm leaving early.  DH has to work Friday, blah.  :-/

I'm here for another 15 minutes before my Body Pump class. I'm loving being a housewife this week.

On Thursday, we're going to DH's parents house. I volunteered to make most of the sides, so I'm working on that. I couldn't bear another holiday of over-cooked mushy vegetables.

We are going up to my Aunt & Uncle's house.  So happy to finally have a holiday that we aren't either hosting or splitting between two families (though we may have to swing by H's parents for dessert).

We have dinner with my parents around 3:00 on Thursday.  Then Friday H works and I put up the tree.  We're supposed to have our 10 year reunion but I'm not sure we're going.  I'm just not sold on it.  $20 for whore derbs?  No thanks.

    Morning!

Dh is on call so I'm going to take the kid to the woods (we rent a camp) for my family's lunch then I'll bring him leftovers for dinner.

I have a bunch of cookies to make and I'm seriously thinking about taking a long lunch tomorrow to do it.  It's those stupid ones with the kisses.  I can knock 10 dozen out in an hour, but the kiss takes 4 hrs to set back up before you can package them,

Brunch at the IL's, Dinner with family. A whole lot of "fun time" with H. Frankly, I'm ready to kill him. Doesn't help that I'm PMSing royally and he's being a douchenozzle.

It's a big controversy this year. MIL is sick of her other kids not showing and now that she has a grandchild, she wants everyone together. This was supposed to take place on Saturday but now she's stretching it out to both Thursday AND Saturday. Um, no. Already told my sister we were eating with my family when you said Saturday was the day. So we'll probably stop at MIL early on Thursday just to make an appearance.

Plus, my sister is a fricking gourmet cook. Everything is homemade and delicious. MIL serves stove top stuffing, canned gravy and microwave green beans. Blech. Love her to death but cooking is not her thing. So I'm a food snob.

Today is the last day of classes before the break.  I'm having trouble focusing already, so I can only imagine what the kids are going to be like.  At least we get out at 2:45.

We're hanging with DH's famikly on Wednesday and going to eat with friends on Thursday.  Overall it should be nice and mellow.

We're going to have dinner here, with a friend joining us.  It would be nice to family, but it's one extra plane trip that's not worth it.  We fly home for Christmas and I always have a business trip in late November or sometime in December.

Yeah, we have 21 people at dinner for Thanksgiving. I like entertaining but it's becoming a last minute circus.
