Because of the system upgrades/changes that my company did this past weekend they thought we were going to be inundated with calls/e-mails/whatever. But we're not, which is not shocking considering this is our slow period anyway. So, instead of having to work 3 hours of mandatory extra time next week (which I was struggling to fit in), I can flex and get off early Weds, so we can get on the road to SIL's in MO. YAY!
Secondly, I know I posted about how my IL's wanted us all to ride to MO together in the same car and I was not thrilled about it because it would be a) cramped and b) 4 days and 16 hours back and forth in a car with my IL's was not my idea of fun. Well since I have to work Weds, my IL's have pretty much decided to leave 1st thing Weds morning on their own and we'll drive ourselves when I get off work.
On one hand, if we *had* driven with the IL's I would not have had to drive at all and now that it's me and DH only, I will probably have to take over for him at some point each way BUT I think having to drive is much less of a hardship than the alternative. AND we don't have stuff our car to the gills with everyone's isht.
