I'm all butterfly-y. And it's not nearly as big a pay cut as I was expecting, only $4K per year.

EXCELLENT!

Assuming your current salary isn't putting you near the poverty line, $4k/yr is not a lot at all for a job that actually makes you happy. Heck, by the time you take out taxes and divide that over 24 paychecks, it's only $125/check. Noticeable, but you shouldn't have to dramatically change your lifestyle.
