Wedding Woes

Autumn Wedding in July

Hi. So, I'm not getting married for two years.
My fiancee and I are engaged without rings. Money is a bit tight, we are both still in school.
I will graduate a year before he will, we are planning on marrying when he graduates, July 2013.

Here is my question:

I have always loved Fall, it's my favorite season. I have always planned on factoring Autumn leaves in to my wedding. (Flower girls dropping leaves instead of petals, etc.)

Here is the hitch: July is the month that we can get married. If we wait till August, we hit conflicts with work schedules (He is a teacher, as are many of our friends), we would have to postpone our honeymoon, etc.

So, is it completely insane to have an Autumn wedding in July? Colors of Fall leaves, and a deep blue or purple?

Would that be completely unpleasant and out of place? I'm just looking for some opinions from people who have been there, done that.

What do you think?

I think it sounds lovely. Fall is also my favorite time of year, and I'm a teacher as well, so I understand the conflict with school. That's why we are getting married while I'm on holiday break. I say it's your wedding and you chose whether autumn happens in July or not :)  Good luck! Sounds beautiful!

Autumn is my favorite time of year as well!

Have you thought about taking an early honeymoon? and still getting married in the fall? I don't think its necissarily insane, but it won't have the same feel. No matter how much you decorate, it won't be fall

    This.

I LOVE fall too. My favorite season. I think your colors will be fine but to decorate with fall leaves and fall decor might seem a bit odd in July. It is hot in July and fall weather is cool and crisp. It won't have a fall feel.

Postponing a honeymoon isn't really a big deal either. My FI and I are getting married in a few weeks but won't be taking our honeymoon until next year. No biggie. If fall is important to you then I would get married in the fall and then just put off the honeymoon for when he has the time.
