Wedding Woes

$35 later

Urgent Care doc said I'm having an allergic reaction to something and to take benadryl.  Only sucky part is benadryl makes me tired so it's a sucky combo with kids.

Re: $35 later

  • ugh.
(injected benedryl kicks in fast...but leaves some of us unable to form sentences.  I reccomend :)
  • There are allergy meds that are non-drowsy...could you try some of those? Or is there a specific active ingredient in benadryl that the doc. thinks will handle this best?

IDK if it'd actually help you or not, but the spray Benadryl stuff does work really well. I don't think it made DH drowsy.  He had some skin rash that he was putting it on.
  • Dr. Flo recommended Benedryl last week...   Just sayin'.   ;)
  • How about Benedryl for everyone?  Family nap!

  • But Flo, if I listened to you I couldn't b!tch about it.

V- the itch is everywhere (belly, legs, arms, hand ears, scalp) so I don't think a spray would help.
  • they couldn't give you a steroid to help clear up an allergic reaction? (I get that you're pregnant - but they gave them to me to help with Wolverine's lung development since they assumed she'd be a preemie - I figure they'd be relatively safe at this point.)
  • Oh no, it probably wouldn't. Yuck!

    nap time!
  • Barbie- I'm guessing if it was a worse case that might have been an option.  Since I was walking and talking and more annoyed than anything it didn't seem to warrant anything more.
