BIL and his girlfriend are killing me.
Please to recall not this previous Kuusmas, but the one before where BIL was getting all up in arms in September because when people were talking about the upcoming holidays, they weren't planning parties around the set plans of the woman he had been dating for two weeks.
Please to also recall a month or two ago, when SIL was showing us our bridesmaid gowns and said that they could be altered drastically in the event of a pregnancy, and BIL's girlfriend told us all proudly that if she got pregnant it'd be an immaculate conception.
Please to also remember that these two are 27 and 29, and have never lived anywhere but their parents' houses.
So anyway, BIL has been talking about thinking about maybe proposing, and his girlfriend has been obliquely hinting about it, he thinks, but isn't sure. When he told me about this, I suggested that they talk openly about not just if they want to marry each other, but when, since it's a decision that should be made by both of them, and a question that shouldn't be asked unless you already know the answer. So this past weekend he told me that he tried to have the conversation with her, and she cut him off and said that she doesn't think people should talk about things like that; they should just know.
This marriage should go well.
